Well guys, here's the new transportation unit for me.
Going to use it to and from work to save gas. Just couldn't
see myself on one of these 100 mpg scooters.
Can't belive how much prices went up on older bikes. Ended
up paying $800.00 for it. 81 Honda cm400.

I used to paint these bikes all the time........got robbed too........frosts me when I think about it........

A Tank & Side Cover job, custom'd out to the owners specs, usually ran about $180. complete with a hand rub......it was all acrylic lacquer back then......

Sometimes I'd throw in a matching paint job on the helmet for another $50...........in todays market it would easily be a grand for what I did back then on these small bikes.

Just looking at the bike brings it all back............

Hey, maybe we can come up with a nice A-Body paint scheme for that beauty! It'd be fun to hear your ideas...........Ride on! (just don't cave your head in.....wear a helmet so you can keep enjoying your cars).

I got a quart of lime light in the basement from an old car.
Who knows what it might get painted. Also have about a pint
of sassy grass from when the previous owner painted the Duster.
Maybe this winter.

I was going to do the same and get me a cb 500.8)
I owned a 550 Four K back in 85 and miss the joy of riding.
But, Neck and shoulders and the doc said NO!!!:stop:
Be safe and enjoy Brian,
That is a good looking and good shape for a 81 400:thumleft:.
Congrad's on a gas saver and a fun bike.
