Hey Folks,

Hope everyone's been doing well. Finally get some new tires for the Duster. 165-85R 15's in front, MT ET SS's out back, 275-60R 15. Really happy with how well the 275's fill the rear wells. Can't wait to try them out. I'm sure they'll be a major improvement over the much too old All Season 255 60R 15s I was running. The research I did here had me very confident they'd fit. No fuss no muss...so thanks FABO!

Be well,
Pat

The tread pattern of the rear tires makes it look like they are on backwards. Have you looked at the sidewall to see if has an arrow that says rotation or direction?

I got busted when I showed my M/T ET Streets on some new rims, I knew I mounted them correctly, but it made me do a double take. Simply put them on the opposite side! Hope that’s all it is for you as well:thumbsup:

Looks Great! What kind of 165/85r15s? I’m guessing on a 4-1/2 inch wide wheel and what load rating?

Are you sure that are 165/85s? Most skinny 165s I've seen are 80 aspect ratio. And I think the front centerlines are 3 1/2, those rears look like the 8 1/2 version. They originally came in 3 5/16 bs. or 4 7/8. Those look like the 3 5/16.
I have the 4 7/8 on my car, but I have to use a .300 spacer to get the tires off the springs. I'm betting you have an inch from the leaf springs.
(Hold on to those small-center caps. They are rare, and hard to get.)

Look really good. I had 8.5 Centerlines with 5” backspace and the just touched the spring. Couldn’t use them..

Looks like you have the rears on the wrong side of the car. The tread is directional

Thanks for the call out fellas. In my haste to do this on my lunch break I inadvertently flipped them. Brain fart! Thanks again!

I’m going to attempt to use my 5.5 wide Rallyes with 185/75-14 Hankook Kinergy rated for 1279 pounds. Not a super narrow combination (dimensionally the same as the D70-14 tires that would have came on the car), but the skinniest I want to risk to avoid pushing the front end during corrective steering.

I've got 185/65x15 on my skinny centerlines. They are a little wider than I wanted, and a lot shorter, but I couldn't find anything else when I needed them.
I think it was time to replace these...... (it wasn't even on the ground at the time.....)

 How old were those?
That’s a good looking car from what I can see of it! Glad you weren’t out on the road when that let go!

Hey folks,

Just a quick update. Put the MTs on... correctly this time! LOL. Took a cruise around town to see how they'd work and am really happy with the tires so far. It was blowing the cheap old 255 All Seasons loose when hammering it anywhere below 30-35mph with the 4.30s. Was never able to launch in first. But it's hooking great now with the MTs. Was a blast launching from a dig and hooking up.Of course, had to try it repeatedly to ensure it wasn't fluke. ;)

Overall, happy with no complaints.so far.

Be well,
Pat
