As many of you know I have been redoing this 69 340 Swinger. Yesterday I moved it to the center of the shop . It was its maiden voyage ! All the way to the street ...uturn and back into the garage ..lol

Any how I noticed that the passenger side was sitting way lower the the drivers side ! These are brand new 2800# SS springs. I ordered 2 of the same side so spring rate should be the same on both.

If you ordered 2 of the same side it should be level. Did you check the part #’s to make sure you actually got two of the same side? Other thing to check would be the angle of the shackles, maybe one side is bound up?

I’m sure I did when I installed them. But I will double check when I get home

you can level the rear with the torsion bar adjusters.
maybe revisit the ride height setting in the front...

I could see that would stock springs. But not with super stock springs. Not that much difference

I am using sliders .

Well that would take care of the shackle issue!

Actually the front height still effects the rear. If the front is off side-to-side it will change the rear ride height too. And with a short trip like you described it could be that the front height settled after an adjustment.

It will be opposite from what you have in the back, if the passenger side rear is low check to see if the driver side front is high.

Well. Looks like I have 2 different part #s

Driverside is

Pass side is

No worries. lol I put the cylinder heads on the wrong side once on a 440. lol

Those are NOT the 2800 pound A body spring numbers. They end in 002 and 003. Those ain't them.

Ok, I stand corrected. Somehow I thought the 002 and 003 springs were 2800.

002 and 003 were 68 Dart/Cuda super stock springs 3000#

Personally I have a pair of 003s under my 73 Duster that uses slide-a-links.

I think the 002 & 003 will work under about any weight up to 3400 lbs.

I've used them under 3 different cars and I love the hell out of them. They will make a car LAUNCH when they are set up right.

The 2800 # spring is better suited for a 4 speed car. I like the 002/003 for auto at 3000- 3400 # car

The 002/003s are the recommended springs for A-Bodies in the Mopar books so they are usually first thought of . This is mostly a street car and I wanted a softer ride. I ran 002/003s in my 73 340 4sp Sport. Also a W2 Solid roller motor. Ride was firm. Lol

This is a 4sp car

Engine is a 408 W2 Solid roller ..
