New Yoker Rear Brakes

Does anybody know if the rear brake setup off a later New Yorker will fit on a 8 3/4 housing?

I'm looking at building a setup from a bare housing I have and found a complete new yorker in the junk yard.

What year New Yorker? Early to mid 70's style?

its an early 80's style

Everything I've checked so far shows that a New Yorker up to 1982 should work.

You might even get lucky, the New Yorkers had the option for 11x2.5" rear brakes up until '82 as well.
