Did the 727 TF come in different lengths? Like the GM Turbo 350/400 for example came in long and short tail versions depending on the application (passenger car / truck / van). I'm new to MOPAR's and looking for a 727TF for my son's '73 Duster.

there are some short tailshaft 727 used in pick up trucks..

all the passender cars should have the long tailshaft 727,,

There is only one car version (which is the long one) The are two other styles. One is a short shaft and has a bolt on yoke. It is found mostly in pickups. There is a version of this short shaft with a brake drum on it for motor home / cab and chassis applications. The other one has the trans mount on top of the tailhousing instead of on the bottom like usual. This trans came in the A100 vans and pickups. The mount is on the top because it hangs off the crossmember.
