As you can see, the new rear seal is quit a bit shorter, than what's in the tail now. It's the one I got from Mancini. Did I get the right seal?

Mine´s even shorter.....these are additional dust boots, nice to have....but it seems to be not absolutely necessary. If the diameters are ok, i´d not mind to put it in.

Those shorter seals have been made for a very long time. I started selling parts in the early 70's................juz' depends on the seal brand

Three types available in the aftermarket: long dust boot, short dust boot and no dust boot. All work ok.
