i have a 1979 slant six cast crank i will be using ngkur5 do i remove the washers? thanks in advance

I didn't think the 79 engines still had the spark plug tubes.

hey, ya they dont have em thats why i was wondering if there a need to remove them

Do yourself a favor and install the factory Champion spark plugs. The ignition system was designed with them and works the best. Cheap too.

I thought the plugs for heads without the plug tubes were tapered seat plugs and therefore didn't use washers. I can't remember what kind of plugs I used to get for my 79 Volare wagon slant 6.

If they tapered seat plugs, they don't come with any washers. Nothing to remove. Are you certain you have the correct plugs for your year head?
