. Sorry no it won’t work on an A body. Those came on B and E bodies first with the 340. Then on to the other body styles. Maybe if u get the down rod off of a truck as they have less room than the B&E bodies between the engine and the firewall. I haven’t tried an F body rod aE I never had 1 to try. Hope this helps. Kim

This was the alternate setup I was planning on with a TV cable and lever setup off a ram van. A steel 4bbl intake off a ram van for about $25 if I wrench it off sounds like a decent deal though I think
