nippendenso 120 amp upgrade

just updated my charging system with a nippendenso 120 amp
alternator not finished in the pic
man what a upgrade volt gusge does not move at all while at idle

I did the same on my big block car, it`s a nice upgrade especially if you`re going to run electric fans, big amplifiers, etc.. What model/make car did you use to source the alternator and brackets from?

I looked at doing this a few years ago but couldn't find brackets... Where'd you get yours?

What wiring mods are necessary besides bypassing the factory ammeter?

Mine is internally regulated so I was able to eliminate the votage regulator. I had to add another field wire but there wasn`t a lot to it otherwise.

same brackets just modified alittle on the belt slide bracket
i researched and found that a 91 dodge truck had a 120 nippo alternator
with the two grove v belt pully ,went to autozone asked for a alternator for a91 dodge truck they had a few options like a 90 or 120 amp i gor the big one
all u need is a alternator from a throttlebody dodge truck 89-92
and it should bolt up

mine was pretty straight forward i have no power steering or a/c
