I thought a folding matchbox was more like .020"?? Remember that from doing magneto coils on lawn mowers....
 
One of the ways the FBI verifies counterfeit bills easily. Most thieves use the wrong paper - many different checks. Color, thickness, cotton count. Texture. So much goes into our money. It probably costs more than it’s worth.
 
The paper money is made out of has a very fine surface finish, slips right through your hands…..
 
I usually fold notebook paper in fourths. Good trick.
