Hello,

My name be Ebonies Li Herenandez, an AfricanHispanicAsiatic-American girl who just got an award For being the best speler in class. I got 67% on the speling test and 30 points for being black, 5 points for not bringing drugs into class, 5 points for not bringing guns into class, and 5 points for not getting Pregnut during the cemester.

It be hard to beat a score of 120%. The white dude who sit next to me is McGee from the Bronx He got A 94% on the test but no extra points on account of he have the same Skin color as the opressirs of 150 years ago.

Exactly. In NYC they lowered the physical standards for the Fire Fighters test so ALL people can apply. Short...Weak...Petite Wowen, everyone. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for people being treated equally, but if the job requires you to carry a 150 lb. person down 3 flights of stairs, you should be able to do it. Not 125 lbs. down ONE flight because your only 5'2" and weigh 118lbs. Can you imagine the NHL, WWF, or the NFL doing this to us? Man... people would be out in the streets protesting.

Sadly, the punch-line to almost every joke is at someone's expense. Yep... that's the world we live in today. And we live with the consequences.....:bs:

John, I was all ready screwed with the carrying requirements being 150lb. Now, if I am every in that situation and can't make it out on my own, there better be a dog-sled of these little folks to get me out or I am a goner. We have so many friends in the surrounding depts here and over the years, I have heard how things have changed (and not all for the public's well being). Of course, one of the biggest gripes over the years is having women that didn't meet the requirements hired on. I can't tell you how many times I have heard (from trustworthy firefighters - not disgruntled ones) how many women fire fighters here "accidentally" dumped their oxygen tanks before going into a bad situation. I know it happens and I am not saying that it happens all the time but I want people in this position that can do the job and have no hesitations ... my life and my family's lives depend on it.
