Got tired of my cracked dash pad and I'm too cheap to shell out over $300 for a new one so I cut up some tin, fired up the welder and filled all the holes. I shot it with rustoleum flat black, tried to give it alittle texture by dusting on the final coat but it still came out alittle shiny. 100_0418.jpg....[/ATTACH]

Great metal work and it came out looking very clean!.

I personally like the looks of the dash with the pad and think it looks "different" without one.

But it still looks good and not many people have done that mod so you will stand out a bit more in the crowd!

nice, i am 95% sure i am eliminating my bottom one.

Looks great the way you did that! If you ever decide to replace the padding, I`ve heard of people fixing the cracks in their dash pads with fiberglass then covering them with a thin vinyl that gets stretched over and glued down. The result is very close to original.

Looks 100 times better than that bluky pad. Nice work!

Sweet looking. I have the same problem in my Dart and have been wanting to Bondo it in or something but I suck so bad at body work that I just haven't. Great job!
