No numbers on 318 engine

Now I have had alot of help, especially from 69Coronet RT and the Mopar Decoder site, here goes another question that maybe I can get help in.

I have no VIN numbers on my 318 engine except the Casting numbers:2536030 and Engine assembly numbers: PM318r 24141515 all of which I have had help on getting decoded.

Is there somewhere I can go or research that tells me that Chrysler didnt put VIN numbers on certain engines on specific models/dates?#-o

Unlike Generic Motors, Ma Mopar didn't put VIN's on engines, transmissions, etc. until it was required by Federal law. Best I can remember, this happened in 1969. There is no such thing as a "numbers matching" Mopar prior to the change in Federal law. This hangup is a Chebbie thing. Get over it. You're playing with Mopars now.
