Since the new build 6 weeks ago the front crank seal has started to leak the tiniest little bit.
I've had to wipe down the front of the motor before each outing, one of those nagging problems that really won't keep you from racing. Now that I have 2 weeks off, I decided to pull the radiator and balancer and put a new seal in. Also:
1. Put new D-Rings in the trailer so I can move the golf cart to the back.
2. Change to 14 volt batteries.
Damper comes out easy if you remove the radiator:

Groove in damper might be the cause for the leak. Will hit it with some
#800 sandpaper. Should have done that before I put it together!

Old seal comes out easy with a puller:

New D-rings went in easy. I think I like cart behind the car. Hopefully not too much tongue weight moving the car forward 4 feet. I figure Moving car forward vs moving cart to the back they might cancel each other out.

I absolutely LOVE these 14 volt racing batteries! Makes everything run better! Also discovered that one of the 2 Optima yellow tops was bad. The good one is running the winch and other 12v stuff in the trailer now, the wet cell that came with the trailer 3 years ago was about shot anyway, so that's a win win.

what else did you needed to do to change over to 14 volt besides batterys
Nothing else. Well, you need a 14 volt battery charger. Of course if you run an alternator you would need a 14 volt alternator.
All of my 12 volt stuff including sensitive electronics all run just fine on 14 volts.

I like your trailer. Very well organized. Those seal pullers are the shizzle, aren't they?
