my sons 67 wouldnt start the other day.no crank at all after sitting a while.
we looked at it the other nite in the rain and it cranked with a screwdriver at the solenoid.
he turned the key and i put a test lite at the yellow wire and it lit.
is there anything obvious at this point?
cant be a bad connection at the starter if it cranks with a scredriver.
it may have a bad connection at the connector on the yellow wire(i think its yellow).
if i take a wire directly from the battery and touch the terminal on the solenoid where the key wire goes to it should crank right?

im thinking after doing some research that it must be the neutral safety switch.
it has power everywhere it needs but the switch supplies the ground for the trigger wire.

If it is an automatic sometimes juggling the shifter will get it to crank. Whether floor shift or column may get it to start.
