I'm putting my wiring harness back into my 74 Dart Sport after new paint and can't find the wire that hooks up to the heater motor. You always think you'll remember where everything goes. Does it come off one of the main firewall connector blocks? Any help would be appreciated.

It should be a plug that is in your wiring harness. If the colors have not changed from the `60s then the wires will be brown, green, and black.

The wires are external and there are only 2 wires. One is grounded to the wiper motor and a short 6" green pigtale on the motor with a single connector plug. Can't find anything close in the harness and have tested all the wires in the plugs. I was wondering if I may have tucked it away somewhere while painting the engine bay.

On my 68 the wire connector was in the wiper motor harness.

Problem finally solved. Body plug thru the firewall right next to the speedometer cable that I had pushed thru to get the engine bay painted. Tracked it down after 3 days of searching and tracing back to fan switch. Thanks for all the suggestions.
