Hello,
I saw a 1966 Belvidere hemi today at the car show in Lost Nation, IA.
Some of the highlights I remember were:
Keith Black 526 hemi
Rear Twin turbos(a mirror was placed on ground so you could view)
Computer controlled fuel injection, variable boost level, waste gates , cutouts
3" exhaust with what I was told are fairly quiet mufflers.
1600+ hp
Has run 208 mph in standing mile
Runs nines in the 1/4 and is totally streetable. Was on the Hot Rod Power Tour.
Talked with the owners father for a while as the owner was not currently there. He said his son is an engineer. Looks like he really knows what he is doing.
I am normally not a big fan of Pro Touring but this car is very tastefully done. Not wildly painted, slammed or fitted with wagon wheels and rubber band tires. Looks like it would make a hell of a sleeper.
The owner has a website with technical details, pictures and also has a facebook page
Check it out at northernbel.com
