Here’s a NOS set of hydraulic lifters. Made in the 1980’s. They have some cosmoline on them, seems to wipe off with a rag and some Kroil or Free All, but leaves a stain.

“Most modern hyd. lifters will interchange. BUT, it depends on the oiling band, oil hole location. Some older lifters were specific, and the early BB lifters have cups for different pushrods”
