This is a bare hemi block that I got on a deal, can some one tell me what it might be from,or what year of car it might be from? It is for sale, just a bare block. These are stamped on the bottom of block and top of bell housing, the "wt"is on the top of block. Thanks in advance..D.B.

8A 270960 is the partial VIN, it came from a 1968 B-body from the Lynch Road Plant.

WT stands for Water Test, common for Hemi blocks.

The area that has 10-31-66 cast into it looks strange to me. Has that piece been patched in there?

Yes this block has been repaired on both sides, I think I will post it on the b-body forum. Is it common to use a Oct/66 block in a 68 car?
