Numbers question

A quick question for MrMopartech or anyone who can help. can anyone tell me what these numbers on the block mean ; casting number R/H & L/H side reads 2468130 . On L/H side of block has numbers 16 1 70 . On R/H side of block down near oil pan what appears to be an engine number I or 1 F 180363. It's supposed to be a 383. Thanks in advance.

16 1 70 might be 10/1/70 build date
1F180363 MIGHT be 1971 engine for a car built in "B" plant serial # 180363

hi, what you have here is a 383 cid built for 1959-1971 b engine family,the I or 1f apears to be part of the serial number the of the car the engine came from.the other number i do not have a clue,maybe someone else can help you.but you defintly have a383 cid motor.check this website for addistional info. http://www.mymopar.com/tools.htm dennis PS.does anybody have a 10.5 inch bigblock bellhousing for sale?dennis
