o2 sensor

If memory serves, it's officially not okay, but the last one I put in had copper antiseize pre-installed on its threads.

I believe it's all about the possibility of contamination of the sensor by the metals in the antiseize. If you use very little and put it on the threads in such a way that none goes forward into the exhaust system, you'll be fine.

I've always put copper antiseize on mine – you'd never be able to get the darned things out otherwise.

I can't recall if i have ever even seen one that came out of the box without antiseize on it.

Yes use anti seize.

And any silicone you use absolutely must be O2 sensor safe or it will kill the sensor in short order.
