Offset valve spring retainers or keepers ?

I'm curious have you gotten anywhere on this project? I have ran into the same situation and the same problem. I have the same springs with a .494 lift lunati voodoo cam. When I check my install height after my valve job I'm getting between 1.62 and 1.64 I was thinking I was gonna have to shim them after the valve job but I'm still shorter than the 1.65 install height where its supposed to be.

Used valves ?
You should buy a spring seat cutter, one that cuts the guide to .630 to locate a double and remove around .010 off the spring pads. That will bring you to 1.65

Theyre around 90 bucks, arbor and cutter. Howard's and comp are listed on summit. Use a good drill, cord kind..i use a dewalt drill it works slow and nice with some cutter oil, any oil.

No all new valves. I already cut the valve guides but the cutter that I have isnt wide enough to cut the seat it does however cut area around the guide.

Yes, you're cutting for positive seals.
Theres another that cuts down that raised inner spring pad to locate a inner / double spring AND in the process you can cut the spring pad deeper.
Comp 4719
Howard 92070
For up to1.55 spring .630 inner
92062 is 1.44 you can find others.

Thanks I will check those out I appreciate it as always! You have been a great help in my learning process! Do you know if those will fit the arbor I already have?
