Is there any oil filter which is less prone to leaking than an other?

In my 30+ years the only filter I have ever had leak is a Wix. The crimp holding the can to the base was bad.

make sure the seal is on the old filter, heard of one sticking to the block and when the new filter was put on it leaked

leaking?? if you don't make sure when you install the filter you take some oil on your finger and run it around the rubber seal, that gives it a better seal. maybe you knew that but i've never heard of one leaking???
