Oil pan differences

Are all LA 318 oil pans the same? I have taken apart 3 LA 318's here and am pretty sure I kept the pan that was on my Duster but am not positive. The other two were from a RAM charger and a Van. Can anybody verify, or give me an idea what to look for?

As far as LA 318s.....there is a car pan and a truck pan...

car pan has centered sump....truck pan has a rear sump...and you must use the matching oil pump pickup

Its a center sump so that's good. How can i spot the appropriate pickup tube?

There is also a front sump for motorhomes. Not very common as more motorhomes had big blocks, but they do exist. East to confuse with the rear sump truck pan if you are not careful.

You can always buy a new one. Like the Milodon road race oil pan. It holds 6 qts and sits above the k member.
