oil pick up

when switching to a 187 or 699 oil pan , do you have to switch oil pick up also.
This is on a 400 block or can you use the original pick up.
 

Edit: rechecked my notes and they are old. If i recall correctly, the straight tube works on non-baffled pans and there was a curved unit on the rare baffled pans.

I think Melling sells them if you do need a replacement?

I'm sure someone can confirm what's best to use now days...

Number on my pan is 933 looked it up and said pan was used on 400 and 440 HP engines
so I don't think its real common .
