I may have a problem with the new truck. Ran out this afternoon and when I looked down at the oil pressure gauge it was sitting at 22psi under light load. at about half to 3/4 throttle is goes up to 40 psi and idle is only 18 psi. I can also hear a slight ticking probably valvetrain but its pretty faint.
Should I worry about it ? Do I need to drop it back off at the dealer ?
Its a 94 Jeep cherokee with a 5.2L, 90,000 miles seems to have been well maintained. Not sure if they did an oil change on it. They had just gotten it in as a trade in.
