Oil type

I need to know the correct oil weight for 64 Dart. It has a slant 6 in her, sat up for 20 yrs,but before that,it was overhauled. I have been driving it now for 3 yrs,am using valvoline 10W40 regular oil. I will not use synthetic, so I wanna make sure the right weight is correct and also should I start adding zinc additive to it. She does not burn any oil and runs great. Hi,

the only 64 year model service manual I found was under Chrysler, but I suspect that any manual with your engine in it would work. They do state what weight oil to use. The service manual for the 68 318 says to use 20w50, so that's what I use.

Damn, that seems really high. I have a 440 and thats the what I use in her, but for a slant 6??? I used to have a 318 and never used 20W50 but I was young and dumb then, that was my first Mopar engine, drive her to china and back!
