Old VS New... What do you think?

Here are pics of my old door panels and the new one's compliments of JoAnn Fabrics. I think I have about 70$ invested between paint and fabric. I bought the material and foam backing during Christmas with Coupons for 50% off.

Backerboard was bought at Lowes. It is the same stuff that peg board is made of.
Not perfect but I did it myself.
