Opinions On Head Gaskets

Not really relavant , but 426 hemi`s came from the factory w/ .020 steel shim gaskets , I owned 2 and never had a leak of any kind w/ either of them , one was street car ,the other was a race car------------

That's all that came on ANY of the older Mopar engines. From the slant to the Hemi. ALL of them. They hold up fine.

I thought maybe you had had too much coffee this mornin.

Only 2 mugs , then around 7ish , a mug of instant swiss miss hot chocolate/2% milk , w/ a pack of mini blueberry muffins , to wash down my heart fibulation meds . Have gained 5 pounds this last yr.

Steel shims were also used on the .020" positive deck height of my '68 RR 383 with the 906 heads.

I have seven slant sixes including the one in Vixen. They've all had the steel shim head gasket marked with the Chrysler logo. I think the latest model one is a 74 model.
