I getting ready to start piecing my 65 Barracuda back together, engine wise, and I think I’ll leave the intake VHT flat black. With the Edelbrock and the D4B Raised lettering touched up with silver.
Or should I do it in red like the valve covers?

depends on what you want it to look like
paint it red, and the whole thing will look "showroom fresh"
keep it that darker color might make it pop and it will draw some attention to it

personally, i think it would look weird with the darker intake and red valve covers
(now, slap some cast aluminum valve covers on there, and i would vote for dark intake)
