Option Question / West Coast Special?

Here's a set of rocker panel gills for a `68 B`cuda. In the description it reads "California Option called the West Coast Special"....

I have these gills w/ the l-o-n-g rocker trim that runs under the doors to the front fender. I know when I decoded my fender tag it mentioned rocker trim, but didn't call it any specific option. Is this a legit option, or is this guy suckin` the glass pipe?
