Orange Box 4 prong stock box 5?

I bought a 73 dart that has had the ignition upgraded to the orange box. I took the wire off this box and found that my wiring harness has 5 holes and the box is only four. I have another ignition from a 76 that has the prong on the box for the 5th wire. Which box should i run and what is the difference?

Plug in one, and keep the other one in the glovebox.

well i put the 5 prong one on since thats what my harness appeard to take and the car wouldnt start? once i put the 4 pronged one on it fired right up? whats the difference between the two?

Do you have a two terminal ballast resistor or a 4 terninal resistor?
I believe the 5 pin control unit needs the 4 terninal resistor. Exactly what the internal difference is I don't know.
