greetings,
That title should read “original” btw....typing issues today!! Does anyone know The original fuel pump brand in 67? I’m assuming the Dart used the same brand as most other Mopars of the time. Thanks!!

Thanks Murray. Any way to tell the date of this one with the markings? Pics..

I can't help you on that one. You see on these Carters that the diaphragm is crimped on, not screwed on. We don't rebuild these, just replace them. That does appear to be an original.

The upside down photo looks like 3rd week in 67 but it is hard to tell from the photo.

67 is year, inside first space between lines looks like 3 dots.

Thanks Dana67, yep it's a three. I love it when 50 year old parts still work.

sometimes it not the years its the mileage! but some times its the years!

Does the year and week work out for your build date? should be weeks to a few months before your car build date.

I'm pretty sure my fuel pump is not OEM but now I want to find out.

The rear end (7 1/4) in my dart has 316000 miles on it never rebuilt.
Engine and trans each rebuilt once.

Man that’s a solid 7 1/4”!!
The date on the fuel pump matches up just right with my Dart’s build date.
Drop a post if you find out about your pump.

Imagine the wear in those gears. Everything wears. No way around it.

Looked through my Dad's log book... (243 entries from day one 2/18/1967 till he pass away in 2017)

1980 163177 miles replaced Fuel Pump (FP) this is first entry on with a FP reference so it must have been to replace the OE pump
1983 205000 miles replaced FP with engine rebuild
1985 241000 miles replaced FP
1988 265050 miles replaced FP
2011 315212 miles replaced FP

Dad was "retired" (ie replacing older more expensive staff) in 1990 from McDonald Douglas in Huntington Beach so the Dart didn't get many miles on it from that point on, but prior to that it looks like the replacement FPs didn't hold up very well.

Wish I had the OE pump to look at.
