Original Steel Wheel Color

Need help form you wheel gurus! 1964 1/2 Barracuda has been restored to the original specs, close as possible, can anyone tell me if the steel wheels, 13", were painted black on the outside and silver on the inside? OR, were they completely black? Sounds crazy, I know, but seems like I seen/read where the color was silver on inside, on some cars. Thanks for any help.

My 64 Dart had 13" wheels with hub caps - all black.

My 66 Dart had 14" steel wheels with the dog dish, and they were body colored.

I am not sure if this helps.

Mine are black all over. I bought the car with the original hub caps, as far as I can tell, they're the original wheels.

Don't know if this helps but...

I have the original spare for my car including the 40 year old RedLine.

The wheel is all black with a body color face and body color over spray over the black inside (this is the natural over spray you would get if you painted the face of the wheel.

This, I believe is how it should be if your car came with the small "Dog Dish" caps.

The wheel would be all black if the car was delivered with one of the optional full wheel covers.
