well I have been out of work since sept. and I am going crazy.I started my own buisness in march 07 and worked all the way up to sept. 08. now all the work has just stop cause of funds ..what about my funds?? why cannt I get a small bail out like the big boys to stay alive? I dont need a mill or a bill just about 100,000.00 would do me ..man this sucks. I know that I am by far not the only one out of work and this is just crazy..But the good thing is that I am alive and well thank GOD for that..sorry to be talking over myself but I'm just going crazy .all the bills:angry7: ,everywhere you look or talk to people about work no we dont have anything..Do any of you guys know of some dump truck work around?I 'll travel if needed close to nc or around nc..thought I would get to work on the old mopar this year but get any worst might had to put it in the for sale ads..

Some states are certainly hurting more than others. Texas seems to be one of the few that are still growing at this time.

I know this dont help today but... Obama says infrastructure work is comming. Roads and bridges. Thats you mate :)
For today , the first thing that crossed my mind was CDL and the constant need for school bus drivers.

If you are a welder I am pretty sure you could find some work around here..... Huge gas pipeline going through the area ... Lots of oil - gas field workers needed also.... Lots of earth moving going on also.... Building a new Interstate Highway....... Tons of highway construction here..... Good luck....

This highway project will be going on for years to come..... Come down here and put your dump truck driving skills to use...

thanks for the post guys I just needed to vent a little .you know it really helps out.. I think that I may start to drive 18 wheelers and just park the old dump for a little while.but thanks for the input and help for it dont work out here I come texas..............:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Earthmover, not sure if there is any military bases around there, but I live by one in Wis. and get a lot of contracts from them for drywall/painting. I have a buddy that has @ 6 dump trucks and works on the base. The only thing that sucks if you have employees you have to shoe that you are paying them scale wages. Of Course there is the usual red tape and paperwork. Once that is figured out, it really isn't that bad. In this area construction is kind of slow, but the Government work is steady, (vary thankful). Anyway if you would need any help with the paper work, pm me and would be glad to help. You can go on Federal Business Opportunities (I think it is FBO.gov.com) this list everything going on at all Federal facilities. Good luck
