What are some small pieces that people forget to paint the correct color often?

Trunk latches? Body color?
Hood latches?
—- connected to hood, body color?
—- connected to front brace, black?
Battery tray? Body color?
Front of radiator support? Black?
Door hinges? Body color?

Any other little small pieces, parts or areas that I may be missing? Painter is coming by on Tuesday so I want to make sure I tell him the correct colors for the correct parts/pieces/areas.

Trunk latches? Body color? No silver plated latch - body color for the loop that it latches on
Hood latches?
—- connected to hood, body color? Yes for the loop, but safety catch black dicromate plated
—- connected to front brace, black? Latch itself is plated black dichromate
Battery tray? Body color? Yes
Front of radiator support? Black? Yes, but usually just the part that shows through the radiator/grille In your picture the bottom below the radiator is usually also black (no body color shows below the Valance)
Door hinges? Body color? Yes

@str12-340 loops are the ones like loops yes, but when you say latch and catch those are these?

Anything else I need to be aware of for painting that are easily missed?

First picture in your latest post is of a latch - the mechanical part with moving parts And yours looks pretty much the way it should when finished.

The second picture in your latest post is the safety catch (circled in red - doesn't come into play unless the latch fails so catches the hood) with the loop to the right of the safety catch

By the way - for painted pieces - last step is a thorough wipe down with Brakleen (because of its primary use on brakes it dries with no residue). You can fake the black plating with a good quality flat black paint and then touch it up when it wears.

Some of these vary from car line to car line, plant to plant, year to year.
From my experience with 67 Barracudas and 69 Polaras

Hood safety latch, black phosphate, natural rivet (for the most part)
Hood latch loop, painted with the hood including the bolts.
Hood latch, natural (odd brown color)
Depending on the car the hood release pieces are all or a mix of natural and black phosphate
Battery tray and support, painted with the car
Hood latch tray and support, painted with the car
Core support, body color both sides, may have blackout on lighter colors (crudely painted)
Door hinges, body color
Trunk latch, natural, phosphate black bolts
Trunk catch, natural, phosphate black bolts

Doesn’t brake clean strip paint?

Yes this is the final wipe down on clean bare parts - I've never had any luck painting over old paint...

Oh, maybe I get this - I meant the last step before you paint the part...
