Painting the heater vent doors?

I'm about to repaint the vent doors under the dash on my 71' Duster. Are they supposed to be gloss black or semi-gloss black? Thanks you.

Just did a visual inspection of my untouched 68 vent doors for you. Your year may be different but doubt it.
