I was wandering if anybody knew how to remove the parking brake cable where it goes through the firewall into engine compartment of a Duster. I have everything else out so I can get it ready to paint and there is this thick sticky stuff all over it and the firewall and it is gonna be hard to remove with the cable there. Thanks guys.

There are three metal tabs that hold the parking brake rubber grommet to the fire wall (on the engine side). Sounds like you have a bunch of sound deadener on the engine side of the firewall. Take a small scraper and clean off the sound deadener, you should be able to see the three small metal tabs, pry very carefully until the grommet comes loose and push it into the interior side of the firewall.
