The previous owner of my car replaced the original 10" rear drum brakes with a Wilwood Dynalite drag race rear disc brake kit (no parking brake) and in the process removed the entire original parking brake system from the car (pull lever assembly, all cables, equalizer, hardware, etc.), and so my car is currently not street legal. (And no, Wilwood told me that due to clearance issuew, they don't have a retrofit parking brake caliper or internal drum brake for my particular kit. Dr. Diff's rear disc brake kit with parking brake and cable kit is pricey.) So to keep parking brake costs down, I've decided to yank the Wilwood drag race brakes and install a reconditioned set of 10" rear drum brake assemblies and an original parking brake setup. I've gathered a complete A-body parking brake lever assembly and purchased a full cable kit with hardware.

I'll be purchasing the parking cable grommet for the firewall. Look at the attached photos of my driver's side firewall - where would the parking cable grommet go? Does anyone have helpful photos from both engine bay and under the dash sides? I have not yet been able to look at another Duster's setup so please bear with my questions. Thanks, Dave

So comparing my photos with your pix, I already have a PB cable grommet - it's the the circular black one in the upper right corner of my photo below, that has 2 unidentified black wires running out out of it?

I'll trace those wires to figure out what they're being used for and relocate them.

Thanks again. Dave
