[Found!] Parking brake cables for 68 A-body

Looking for cable from foot pedal to the other longer cable, which wyes off to both rear parking brake cables (both I have installed at the axle backing plates). Need the coupling hardware and bracketry.

there is no longer cable that y's off to the rear backing plates on a 68 that would be 72 and up. 68 has one long cable and one short cable that goes to the drivers frame rail bracket. There is a long cable from the handle in the car that goes to them. This cable is the same from 67-71. 68 only has three cables not four as a 72 and up. Do you have the correct cables at the rear?

If you have two cables the same length you have the wrong cables at the rear. they are for 72 and up not 67-71. Auto zone has them all , special order. they are different for 9 inch and 10 inch

U guys know u can make a special length cable if need be, by working and drilling out the old cable , out of the little ball or cylindrical ends, and cutting a new cable to length, and using a 30 ton press to re-install (flatten),the drilled out end on it
