Officially. Hibernation. Went from 90 degrees last day at Moparty to this.
Never even drove it again until making a pass down the road before putting it away little bit ago.
Lord willing, gonna make couple changes before it goes down the track again

Looking forward to seeing what the changes do for the car

tentative plans

freshen tranny. It’s been in 5 years and I bought it used from a member here
bump convertor up to +- 5400
1.6 intake rockers
1 3/4 to 1 7/8 step race headers
tighten up front end, I actually have too much separation at the hit. Think it’s effecting how the car reacts on the tree at the hit(slow). Been tough to find a comfortable place to leave from off the foot without guessing/ anticipating

It looks great..........as usual! Keep us updated Don.

I'm taking mine out tomorrow night for some test hits on my bias slicks. I plan on playing with the trans brake and working on shock settings. I have a heads up 6.50ish race coming up the 21st, instant green, so that'll be interesting.

Beautiful car as always Don.

I'm hoping 1 more outing for mine. It's a disease....

I was gonna go to the Mopar race again in London Ky next weekend..but weather looks nippy with some rain, and its a long haul, and gas prices back up..
and my next several Saturday’s around here are kinda not in the cards to be able to race…
so, not much meat left on the bone..lol

good luck!

Sounds like some nice changes

How do you work on your car when it’s parked in the showroom.

I don’t till I get it out in the spring once it warms up a little to put it in the bay alongside my building, where It was. I plan to have everything I need by then. Just will have to wait a week or 10 days to have the convertor adjusted. Guy I use has good turnaround.
we don’t start racing up here till May. I will have a month or so before then to work on it. If it takes till the middle of May….not in points anyhow

remember me saying this ceramic coating is the best thing since sliced bread?
this is what it looks like after a racing season and being all over on an open trailer.
I literally have done nothing other than wipe dew off it at the track mornings after it sat outside all night. No spray detailer, no washing the car, no nothing.
did nothing when I moved it inside, just like it was after being taken off the trailer from Bowling Green
cant say enough about this stuff
