Passenger side mirror location

I want to put a passenger side mirror on. The car is a 71 Scamp with wing windows. It has a standard remote mirror now. I know it's not supposed to be symmetrical with the drivers side. How far back should it go?

Every newer car I had with factory dual mirrors had them mounted symmetrically. 72 Satellite, 78 LeBaron, etc.
Check the wing window clearance before going permanent.

tape it in place at a few locations and see what works for you. i think your going to see why the gymikani guys put it on the fender

Worth doing but do it right. Have a helper position it so you can use it. I added one to mt 66 and glad I did.
