PB 3 speed auto shift speeds

Seems like this newly acquired 64 Dart GT winds way out before shifting.. almost 20 in 1st almost 30 in 2nd... shouldn't these be less? I know w manual I would never wind up to those speeds --

those are actually not bad shift point speeds if under moderate throttle. Any earlier and it would feel like a stacked shift. What does it do at say 25 and you let off the throttle and then get back in real soft? does it upshift to 3rd?

Will have to try that and report back. At 25 it is still straining in 2nd
