I had seen oil traps advertised for new hemi cars, and claims of trapping oil from vapor stream will prevent several problems. Fouling spark plugs, detonation from oil contamination of fuel, oil film in intake, etc. I was curious how much oil was forming during drag race runs on my Duster 408. I know from dyno that there was some blowby at wot. So I rigged up cheap oil trap from a HarborFreght air system moisture trap for $10. After a weekend of racing, I get a few ounces of oil collected. No ill effects, plugs seem cleaner, but can't really say helps greatly.

I have one on my car. I used a moroso oil separator and I am very happy with how everything works. Another thread here about same subject somewhere.

Why would I want to deprive my car of upper cylinder lubrication?
(anything that actually makes it thru the PCV system)
