Is there a differance in lenth of the brake lever in a power brake car and a manual brake car?m I converted from power to manual and the pedal is overaly hard to push.

Do you mean the brake pushrod? Yes there is a length difference between the two brake pushrods (power vs. manual).

Search this forum (Brakes) for brake pushrod and you will find references for the parts.

Did you mount the manual master cyl directly to the firewall? The pedals were all the same, but power brake cars had a "treadle" assembly on the back of the booster to change the pedal ratio.

Yes, It's mounted to the firewall with a 1 1/8 bore master. I did replace the pushrod when I converted over to manual.
I guess I'll just have to live with it since the pedals are the same length.
Thanks guys!

Thats why they call them power brakes.... There are 2 holes in the brake pedal arm. Make sur eyou are using the right one so the pushrod goes in straight.
