Pending 70 SW SB project, I have questions

Not an A body, but cross posting from FTO for coverage because you guys here know fricking everything.

I'm going to look at a 70' sweptline /6 truck and if I get it tonight, it will be uncharted territory for me. In the short term I'll probably just get it rolling, running and stopping to tool around town as a rolling project. That should be no big deal since it's a typical /6, 3 spd and some small upgrades overall.

Eventually I see myself getting deep in the weeds with either a small block or 3G Hemi swap and CV IFS swap. For those who've done this, are there headers already made for these combos or am I going to learn how to build them? Not opposed to learning new stuff, but modding a set or finding right parts up front helps.

Also, any common issues I should look out for other than frame damage, rockers, floors and cab mounts?

Going to likely need a front bumper, anyone have a pattern/drawing for a diy one?

Long term goals.

1. Engine swap
2. CV IFS
3. Total rewire
4. 4 link and watts.
5. Lower it

Basically I want to build this as a fun driver that handles well and has some extra juice when needed.

This is the truck now. Anyway, any info/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to finally having one.

I did one years back. I went high and eventually installed a 340 auto. My favorite years were 70-71 parts were easy to find back then

Deal didn't go through. Way too much wrong for the price which was clearly not negotiable. Its been for sale on and off for a year and I suspect it will stay that way.
