Perch spacing with mini tub

What is the center to center distance of the leaf spring mounting pin hole on the Axle perches if you are running a mini tub on a 69 dodge dart?

Ordering a fabbed 8.75 unit from moser.

It depends on where you weld in the boxes. Some people center them and some put them all the way in so the outside edge of the box is flush with the frame.

I mocked up my rear end in the car and centered it up in the car. used the old u-bolts to tighten the springs, perches and rear end housing together. I also loaded the suspension and set pinion angle, Pulled everything together, tacked the perches really good, removed the springs and welded together.
Came out perfect.

On my minitubbed '70 Dart it is 35.5 inches but your car is most likely different. I would measure the distance across the front spring eye mounts on your car.

The tubs sure are. That's the tough part. Doing the relocation part is easy. Too bad they don't make prefabbed inner wels like the brand X guys have available.

Sounds about right, mine is 35-3/4". When we recently replaced the jacked up boxes with new ones we left the boxes tacked until we bolted in the axle. Front bushings are aluminum with the Caltrac set up so pretty rigid.

Man these tires are TIGHT!!

I'm going to go 47.625" assembled width. Worst case scenario I can run a spacer to fix any clearance issues.

Always better to give yourself a little extra backspacing.

That's what I figured. It's correctable and man there is VERY little space to play with!

When mocked up I came up with 48 3/4" When I did the math measuring the mounted wheels and tires and the frame rails etc I came up with 47 5/8". Being there is only an inch difference I figured i'd go with the small er dimention. Which in itself would leave me 1/2" between the tires and the frame.
