performance indicator, what is it?

It's a guage on the dash but I don't really know what its purpose is. anyone know what its for?
 
yeah, but what is it do, it says performance and economy, I don't get how it helps. besides me starting the car some how helps.

Is this an aftermarket gauge? Sometimes they used to use vacuum gauges as a "performance" indicator. The higher the vacuum the better fuel mileage you would get.

Well said moparkid......drive as if you had an egg under your gas pedal
and you will see your performance gauge pointing to the economy side.

You break the egg and your mileage goes down....messes up the carpet too.
