Phase 1 of Jake's 65 nearing completion

Of course phase one is getting my Shelby Dakota freshened up to be my daily driver before rolling his car in for the tear-down... His little brother enjoyed helping me get them ready as much as I enjoyed the help! I'm dragging it home from the paint shop tomorrow mid-day. Stripe kit should be here by next weekend. Assembly should be complete by mid November.

Quick question, why is the title of the thread say that its a 65?

Long story short:
- I bought the truck new in 89, took it off the road 6 years ago.
- my 15yr old son was going to "borrow" it - teach him to drive and he was going to use it until the day he buys his 1st new car like we all did when we got our 1st full time job after high school
- found a 65 B'cuda locally for $400 that he ended up buying.
- Wife endorses it, but said something had to go.
- Sold my 99 Dakota beater to a buddy for his 16 yr old son
- I get the Shelby back as my daily driver, instead of my son using it
- Phase one of his 65 project is getting my Shelby back on the road for me 1st.
- Hence the title of the thread......

Update...

Rear flares, light bar, lights, rear bumper, grill, mirrors are in place.
Stripe kit arrives tomorrow and will wait until i'm off work Vet's Day weekend.
Windshield and tires get bought next Wednesday.

Looks like Thanksgiving week and We'll be rollin my son's 65 in for the tear-down.... I don't know who is more excited - him or me......

Phase 1 is done!!!!! My Shelby is back together, tagged, insured and still grabs second gear! Tomorrow afternoon, we're rolling Jake's B'cuda in for the beginning of the tear-down!
