Picked up a 72 340 Duster today. Originally a Petty Blue car. 340 3 speed manual trans. bucket seat car. Unsure what I'm gonna do with it just yet but couldnt pass it up.
Missing the drivetrain and someone stuck a 7 1/4 under it to roll it around. Needs rear floor pans and a trunk pan. I got alot of parts with it but sadly no Shark tooth grillTell us more!
I see a few missing parts. Engine or trans ?
What did you pay for it?
I agree, this is the fender tag from it.Do the patina look. Leave it as is, but build up everything mechanically, put in new structure or repair where necessary to make it safe, and drive the crap out of it. Make it fast, and when you leave it in a parking lot you won't care about dings, nobody will give it a second look. Heck a 72 340 3 speed car. You dont find factory 340s in the wild like that much anymore.
Nice score, I would bet it looks worse than it really is. I have a 72 demon in almost the exact shape. Of course I'm going to save it.
Yeah, decided as bad as it was, to just sheetmetal and weld it with what I had. I think it will turn out ok.Yeah I remember you doing that. You got the A Arms from me off the 73 Dart Sport
Yep. I woulda gave 2k for that cremepuff moredoor. That woulda made a dandy daily driver. Add a V8 and a 4 speed, it coulda been fun for the whole family. When I opened this thread I was expecting to read something about getting a great deal on a car and then announcing it was going to be cut up. Then I realized it wasn’t the member I was thinking of.
Nice find. It’s your now and, if you do decide to cut it up, probably best not to brag about it. Out of sight, out of mind.
